crafting a secure identity for Swiss Safe

When I was invited as the Art Director to work on the branding for Swiss Safe, I was thrilled. Swiss Safe is a company that focuses on digital solutions for the security and reliable storage of data and valuables. My role was to lead the art direction for this project and create a powerful, memorable brand that reflects the company’s core values: reliability, security, and innovation.

Create a unique visual style that distinguishes Swiss Safe from competitors in the digital technology sector.
Develop branding elements that evoke a sense of reliability and security among consumers.
Ensure consistency in the use of the logo, fonts, and color palette.
Research and Analysis
The first step in our work was in-depth research. Together with the team, I conducted an analysis of Swiss Safe's target audience to understand who they are. We identified that the target audience includes both individual users and business clients who need reliable digital solutions for data storage and security management.

Simultaneously, we studied competitors in the market to identify their strengths and weaknesses, helping us formulate Swiss Safe's unique value proposition.

Logo
Creating the logo was a crucial stage in the process. It was important for us to use recognizable symbols that reflect security while also finding a way to create a new symbol that would represent the company’s innovative and progressive solutions for data security and digital transformation.

The logo consists of four shields, representing security and data protection. These shields are arranged in the shape of a cross, referencing the Swiss roots of the company. The tilt of the cross signifies the unique direction and vision of the company, emphasizing its commitment to innovation and modern technology.

I actively participated in discussions and concept selections to achieve visual simplicity and memorability.

Typography
The next step was to work on typography. We chose fonts that would highlight reliability and professionalism while also aligning with modern digital design trends. The primary typeface was a sans-serif, ensuring high readability on websites and mobile applications.
Color palette
In creating the color palette, we settled on a combination of red and blue:

Red symbolizes strength and security, drawing attention to the company’s reliability.

Blue represents fresh air and serves as a symbol of digital transformation, highlighting Swiss Safe’s innovative approach to security challenges.

This color combination creates a harmonious and modern impression, easily perceived across all media.

Visual Identity
Our work on visual identity included:

A unique set of 3D images
We developed 3D icons in the style of glassmorphism, which emphasized the lightness and simplicity of the mobile product interface. The red-blue gradient of these icons references innovation and modern technology.

Marketing materials and business cards
For these materials, we used a light abstract background that complements the company’s unique font. This font reflects reliability and confidence, creating a positive impression of the brand.

Nature imagery
When using images, we focused on nature, where the brand colors blend seamlessly into the natural environment. This approach enhanced brand trust and emphasized its connection to vitality and authenticity.

The launch of the new Swiss Safe brand coincided with the company's overall launch. The visual style we created helped form an identity that fostered trust and interest in the company's products and services. We observed that the developed branding became the foundation for further marketing initiatives and customer engagement, positively impacting Swiss Safe’s overall recognition and market perception.

Working on the branding for Swiss Safe was not only a significant milestone in the company's development but also a real challenge for our entire team.
We created a visual style that not only increased trust in the products but also helped the company stand out in the digital security solutions market.
